Professional Experience
Ms. Popova is originally from Sofia, Bulgaria. She graduated from Baylor University where she earned both a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in Piano Performance. She was a concert pianist and a teacher in Asuncion, Paraguay; Jeddah, Saudi Arabia;, and Dhaka, Bangladesh. For approximately eleven years, she travelled extensively throughout the Middle East, Europe, and South Asia prior to settling in Miami where in 2012, she earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Miami School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Popova was a Student Ambassador and a member of the Society of Bar and Gavel. In 2011, Ms. Popova served as an intern to Justice Peggy A. Quince of the Florida Supreme Court. Ms. Popova also served as a law clerk at the Miami-Dade County School Board Attorney’s Office. As an attorney, Ms. Popova has gained significant experience in the areas of corporate defense and insurance defense, handling cases involving products liability, negligent security, complex commercial litigation, employment law, personal injury including traumatic brain injury, and wrongful death.
