Loren Korkin is an associate in the firm’s Miami office. Mr. Korkin represents owners, developers, general contractors, design professionals, subcontractors, product manufacturers, sureties, suppliers, and insurance carriers in a variety of contexts arising from construction projects across South Florida.
A large portion of Mr. Korkin’s practice involves construction and design defect disputes, including representation of clients during all phases of litigation, beginning with the Chapter 558 pre-suit process, and extending through motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and negotiation of amicable outcomes, all the way through trial. Mr. Korkin defends clients from a multitude of claims, many of which allege millions of dollars in damages.
Before being admitted to the bar, Mr. Korkin served as a judicial intern for both Judge Robert J. Luck (now at the Third District Court of Appeal) and Judge Teresa Pooler with the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida. Mr. Korkin also worked as a summer associate in a boutique law firm in Fort Lauderdale practicing in the areas of business litigation, real estate litigation, and family law.
