Mr. Diocares is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Miami office, practicing in the area of first-party property insurance defense. Since joining the Florida Bar in 2012, Mr. Diocares has practiced in the area of insurance law with experience both representing insureds and defending insurers. Prior to joining Lydecker | Diaz, Mr. Diocares worked at a large corporate defense firm defending numerous insurance companies in first-party property litigation allowing him to gain significant experience conceptualizing defense theories and strategies.
Outside of the courtroom, Mr. Diocares has also dedicated his time and effort to philanthropic service. In 2013, Mr. Diocares joined the Asian Pacific American Bar Association (“APABA”) and has served on its Executive Board as the Voluntary Bar Liaison and the Social Committee Chairman. As a bar liaison, Mr. Diocares promoted the Asian culture through various legal events, conferences, and meetings with Judges, fellow attorneys, and community leaders. In his executive member role, Mr. Diocares has organized legal workshops and discussion panels alongside many noteworthy organizations such as the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. In consideration of his outstanding work, Mr. Diocares was elected to serve as the President of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association for the 2016-2017 term.
Mr. Diocares earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Florida State University and a minor in Business Administration, and received his Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2011. He is a member of many attorney organizations in Miami-Dade and Broward County and is barred to practice law in the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, and United States District Court, Southern District of Florida.
