About
Jessica LaFaurie is an partner at the Firm’s Miami office. Ms. LaFaurie received her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut, which she attended on a merit scholarship. While at the University of Connecticut, Ms. LaFaurie majored in Political Science and minored in Sociology. She went on to commit two years to Teach for America in Miami-Dade County. Teach for America is a highly-selective non-profit organization which recruits leaders with a record in achievement to expand educational opportunities and close the achievement gap in low-income communities.

Ms. LaFaurie went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami, School of Law. She was a member of the International and Comparative Law Review, wrote for the Sports and Entertainment Law Society blog, and participated in HOPE volunteer activities. Ms. LaFaurie received two CALI awards and one Dean’s Certificate during her time at the University of Miami. She graduated magna cum laude.
While in law school, Ms. LaFaurie was a legal intern for Unified Family Court and participated in an externship for Project Freedom. Prior to joining Lydecker | Diaz, Ms. LaFaurie worked as an associate at Mesa & Associates, a boutique complex commercial litigation firm in Miami, Florida.
