Dannelle Fleites is a Partner in the firm’s Miami office, where she maintains an active trial and civil litigation practice in Federal, State, and Appellate Courts throughout Florida.  Ms. Fleites’ area of practice includes general civil trial and complex commercial litigation, insurance defense, trucking litigation, premises liability, and negligent security.

  • Ms. Fleites is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Ms. Fleites earned her undergraduate degree in 2002 from the University of Miami, where she graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration with honors.  As an undergraduate, Ms. Fleites was actively involved in various civil and community organizations and assumed numerous leadership positions with the student government. In 2006 Ms. Fleites earned her Juris Doctorate degree from American University’s Washington College of Law, located in Washington D.C. While in law school, she was Senior Editor of the school’s Business Law Brief, Vice President of the Business Law Society, and a judge for the District of Columbia’s Public School Mock Trial Program. She also participated in the law school’s Federal Tax Clinic, representing low-income individuals and businesses before the Internal Revenue Service. Throughout law school she was also involved with several non-governmental organizations in the promotion of human rights and a transition to democracy in Cuba.

Employment and Occupational Experience

Ms. Fleites began her legal carrier as a law clerk for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Inspector General’s Office in Washington, D.C. At NASA she assisted the Agency in a number of fraud and employment matters.  Thereafter, Ms. Fleites began working at the Cuba-Democracy Public Advocacy Corporation, where she assisted in developing legislative and advocacy strategies on a variety issues related to US-Cuba policy.  She also represented the PAC at policy briefings and congressional events.

Upon graduation, Ms. Fleites began practicing as an associate at the Law Offices of Richard Zaldivar, a small employment and workers’ compensation law firm. In 2007 she joined Lydecker Diaz as an associate. She is currently a shareholder in the law firm and is actively engaged in the firm’s litigation practice. Ms. Fleites’ representative clients include private and public educational institutions, public and private corporations, municipal governments, insured companies, and self-insured entities.
