Professional Experience
Prior to joining Lydecker | Diaz, Teresita Perez was a trial attorney for the State of Florida Department of Children and Families where she prosecuted
parents who abused, abandoned, and/or neglected their children. While working with the Department, she handled various types of dependency, termination
of parental rights, independent living and adoption matters.
Since joining Lydecker | Diaz , Ms. Perez, Esq. focuses her practice primarily on intellectual property matters, including the clearance, protection, management
and enforcement of intellectual property rights within the United States and in several of foreign countries. Ms. Perez represents clients in intellectual property
matters concerning trademarks, copyrights, domain name disputes, cybersquatting, and unfair competition before several federal courts as well as the Trademark
Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Educational Background
Ms. Perez obtained her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2008 and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida 2002.
While in law school, Ms. Perez served as an Editor-in-Chief for the St. Thomas Intercultural Human Rights Law Review and was active in the Student Bar Association.
