Professional Experience
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Mallard was a shareholder in a boutique law firm practicing in the areas of insurance defense, commercial litigation, construction litigation, bankruptcy and real estate transactions/litigation. He began his career working for the largest insurance defense firm in Florida, focusing his practice on bodily injury litigation, insurance coverage and bad faith. Mr. Mallard has successfully represented his clients in trials, summary judgment proceedings, mediations and arbitrations throughout the state of Florida. He also has extensive experience in advising upper level managers for insurance carriers of all sizes in complex coverage matters and on methods to limit the potential for excess exposure.
Before being admitted to the bar, Mr. Mallard served as a judicial intern for Judge Marcia Morales Howard with the U.S. District
Court for the Middle District of Florida and as an intern with the civil litigation department in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the
Middle District of Florida. He also worked as a summer associate with Gary, Williams & Parenti.
