Mr. Patrick J. Foley, prior to becoming of counsel to Lydecker,
Lee, Berga & de Zayas, LLC worked in the insurance industry. Mr.
Foley is an independent consultant on insurance and legislative matters
for Apex Manager, American International Group, Inc. ("AIG") and the
Florida Department of Financial Services (formerly known as the Florida
Department of Insurance). He worked in various capacities for AIG and
its affiliates, and is currently Director of AL Life of N.Y and also
serves as the Director of the New York Insurance Exchange Security Fund.
Mr. Foley served as a member of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners ("NAIC") committee on Credit for Reinsurance. He was a Director of the Insurance Federation of Pennsylvania, a member of the Council of Insurance Brokers of the State of New York,
a Director of the New York State Insurance Association and was Chairman and Director of the Medical Malpractice Insurance Association. Mr. Foley is currently the Chairman and Director of the Insurance Federation of New York. In addition, Mr. Foley
served on the NYC Community Planning Board, was a Government Appeals Agent for Selective Service and an arbitrator for
the Civil Court of New York City.
Mr. Foley received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Iona College and his Juris Doctrate degree from the New York Law School.
He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. He is a member of the New York State Bar, the
American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association (Section on Insurance Law) and the New York State Trial
Lawyer's Association.
Mr. Foley is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern, Northern, Eastern and Western District of New York,
the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Tax Court, the Court of International Trade, the United States Court
of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States Court of Claims.
