Professional Experience
Meredyth S. Cooper is a litigation associate in the firm’s Miami office. She represents corporations and governmental entities
in complex commercial and construction litigation matters, with a concentration in the areas of contract disputes, insurance
insolvency, creditor’s rights, business torts, professional liability, mechanic’s lien actions, and construction and design defects.
She has also represented architects and engineers in professional negligence matters.
While in law school, Ms. Cooper served as a judicial intern for Magistrate Judge Carol A. Dalton, with the Superior Court for
the District of Columbia, handling family law matters involving abused and neglected children. She was also a member of
the Federal Tax Clinic, advocating on behalf of low-income clients in disputes with the Internal Revenue Service. Prior to
becoming an attorney, Ms. Cooper worked in public relations in New York, concentrating in the areas of crisis communications
and consumer health matters involving the pharmaceutical industry.
