Professional Experience
Prior to joining Lydecker Diaz, Mr. Blumenthal served as an Environmental Insurance Claims
analyst with Chartis Claims, Inc. (formerly AIG Domestic Claims) handling multi-million dollar
environmental remediation and restoration efforts across the country, as well as managing environmental
and toxic tort litigation involving volatile organic chemicals, mold, asbestos and other pollutants.
Prior to joining Chartis, Mr. Blumenthal was a litigation associate in the New York City office of
Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP where he defended construction-defect, product liability and
environmental and various general liability matters.
Before being admitted to the bar, Mr. Blumenthal served as a summer law intern with the Queens County
District Attorney’s office in 2004 and had a summer clerkship with the Honorable Harold A. Adler in Bronx
County Criminal Court/New York Supreme Court in 2003.
Professional Involvement
While residing in New York City, Mr. Blumenthal was an Observer on the Board of Directors for the Metropolitan
Council for Jewish Poverty, where he helped organize and co-chair a young professionals committee that was dedicated
to fighting poverty in New York City through fundraising events and volunteer projects.
Mr. Blumenthal was also actively involved in the New York County Lawyers’ Association, Insurance Law Committee and
is currently pursuing the CPCU designation.
